Brush Your Teeth To Prolong Your Life
It is constantly said that one area of your body is connected to other parts. The feet can be connected to the head and massaging them can relieve headaches and migraines. Research has now found that your teeth are connected to your heart.
People that frequently visit their nearest dental practice and take good care of their teeth are less likely to have heart problems like cardiovascular disease. The discovery was made by Professor Howard Jenkinson from the University of Bristol, whilst in conjunction with the Royal College of Surgeons. The discovery was made whilst they were researching into how blood cells are affected by bacteria.
About 700 different strains of bacteria can be found in the mouth. People who forget to use their toothbrush enough tend to have poor dental hygiene. This means you could end up with bleeding gums, gingivitis and similar oral diseases which are attacked by the bacteria in your mouth. The bacteria then go into the blood stream and are now known to be independent factors in causing heart disease. Bacteria like Streptococcus gordonii and Streptococcus sanguinis cause oral bacterial infections which increase the chance of a heart attack.
The findings have explained why some antibiotics fail to work in the treatment of heart disease. Professor Jenkinson’s team are working with Dr Steve Kerringan in order to develop a solution to the problem. In the mean time they recommend that you take care of your teeth by regularly cleaning your teeth. You will find tooth care products are widely available from tooth whitening products such as crest white strips to traditional dental care like an electric toothbrush or mouthwash.
If you need to improve your bad teeth then you could speak with your dentist about dental plans.A dental plan will allow you to have affordable oral care to make sure that you can pay for expensive dental surgery
