Material Handling Journal Emphasizes Social Media
Dewitt, NY – April 5, 2010: The MHEDA Journal, the leading online magazine for the forklift, storage and handling, and general material handling equipment industries, is more than just a quarterly print magazine. Over the past several months, the magazine staff has increased its online presence through tools such as a blog and social networking sites Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Readers now have many more ways to engage with the magazine.
First is The MHEDA Journal Editor's Blog, which readers can visit directly from the magazine's home page at http://www.themhedajournal.org. The Editor's Blog is updated multiple times per week with notable material handling industry stories such as economic recovery reports, building codes, what the Internet means for distribution territories, member news and much more. The Blog is also the place for some less-than-critical but interesting material handling stories, such as tracking down the source of the "Conveyor Belt of Love," material handling mishaps or the story of a material handling distributor who performed CPR on a competitor. In May, the Blog will be updated live from the floor of MHEDA's 55th Annual Convention in Marco Island, Florida.
In addition to the Editor's Blog, interested readers can also log on to Facebook, where The MHEDA Journal has its own fan page. Become a fan at http://www.facebook.com/pages/DeWitt-NY/The-MHEDA-Journal/157359690867 and stay up to date with the latest goings-on with the magazine. The MHEDA Journal can also be found on Twitter under the name liftmoveandstor. Just go to http://www.twitter.com/liftmoveandstor to follow the latest tweets from the magazine editor. Each of these sites also has links to other MHEDA publications wikiMHEDA and MHEDA Edge.
